Good Doctor - Family Planning Program
A specialized health care feature for families, especially women, in the areas of conceiving.
Problems faced in Good Doctor App:
Without features to retain and engage quality cohorts, the Good Doctor App currently sees a very low retention and conversion rate. There is also a need to position the app as a solution for wellness and health management with daily relevance so that users are not only visiting the app when they are sick in the occasional times.
I was involved in the beginning and end of the product journey with the Product Managers, Doctors, Researchers, and Developers.
Understanding what the user is facing
Observation from the business and research team:
There are 5 million babies born each year in ID, suggesting that there are more than 13.3 million couples each year trying to conceive (if we assume a conservative estimate of 75% success rate for every attempt to conceive).
User Problems: Majority of the problem of conceiving comes from females. They don’t know when is the ovulation and tend to forget to their menstruation cycle.

Couple who just started out and want to conceive
Couple who have been trying but have yet to be successful
Workshop
After hearing from doctors and researchers, there are three areas that we can tackle: pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and post-pregnancy. We identify key features in the journey of pre-pregnancy and prioritize feature development.
Competitors Research
Gathering insights from the family planning apps focusing on conceiving as the first step.
How do we help both male and female to navigate and understand that all the aspect of the lifestyle helps to plays a part in conceiving
In the beginning phase, we will be focusing on the female user to educate them and help them to log their period and symptoms. In the next phase, we will focus on the lifestyle and biological aspects of a couple to help one another.
User Testing
Test the user interaction: adding their period date, logging their symptoms, seeing their fertility summary
Gather pain points and expectations of the flow

Final Design
Results
Retention rate had increased since the launch. Almost 45% of users (3k+) have returned 4 to 5 times in 7 weeks
